NADD to Challenge Upper Saloum Election in Court – Hamat Bah
Monday 3rd October 2005
The defeated candidate for the Upper Saloum by-election, Mr Hamat Bah, has
told the Point yesterday afternoon that the opposition National Alliance for
Democracy and Development, NADD, will challenge the results of the September
29th by-elections in the courts.
Mr Bah who was defeated by the ruling APRC’s Sainey Mbye with a margin of
492 votes, alleged that the elections were not free and fair. Mr Bah, who
would not comment further, however said his party would be calling a press
conference soon to make known their stance.
