Devastating news for those of us who wish to emulate the openness of Swedish society, an openness that Ebrima Sall mentioned in an article here just a couple of weeks ago.

Her life could not be saved
Foreign Minster Anna Lindh passed away at 05:29 this morning. She died from the injuries caused by the stabbing on Wednesday.
"It was with great sorrow that I received
news that Swedish Foreign Minister, Anna Lindh, passed away at 05:29 this morning", a visibly shaken Göran Persson said at the press conference Thursday morning.
"Our country is known for its openness and democracy. Our tolerant society is unique and she was a huge representative of all this", Göran Persson continued.
According to the information department at the hospital, she died from massive bleeding caused caused by the stabs to her liver and blood vessels in the abdomen.
Ms Lindh died at the age of 46. She leaves behind her her husband, Mr Bo Holmberg, and her two children.
