My heartfelt condolences to Bia Mbenga "Lens" family. May his soul rest in perfect peace and may Allah grant him Jannah.
I am sure that I am not the only one who is privately musing that all the good people are dying so quickly...(?). Why the endless obituaries? Is this what crunch time would look like? Funerals upon funerals; the men hurriedly digging yet another grave, where they carry you away like driver ants; and the women wail as if to catch a bit of sky...Will someone please tell me what is happening to Gambia? Is the Lord hearing our prayers? Or I am not just getting that He works in mysterious ways?
I remember Munir's words of wisdom, that it is just mere transition. But transition means dying anyway, and we do not want to die. Is that not because this is the only life that we REALLY know?
May Allah grant us courage and the wisdom to manage that courage. May He make the transition for all of us and our people as painless as is possible; and may He answer all our prayers in our favour. In the name of the Holy prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and our ancestors.
Sidibeh
