I'd like to report that I have been eating low carb for 6.5 years and paleo
(basically) low carb for 4.5 years.
I recently had blood work done for the first time in six years:
Cholesterol: 165, HDL: 63, LDL: 94
Triglycerides: 42
So, all those "nutritionists" who say you can lose weight on low carb but
eventually it will clog your arteries, don't know what they are talking
about!
BTW, I like fat, and I usually eat all the visible fat on my meat. I like
beef, and I eat it every week, but I also eat chicken, pork, tuna, turkey,
eggs and other fish sometimes. I tend to eat 40-70 carbs a day, and most of
these are from vegetables with more fruit in the summer.

Just wanted to share how happy I am.
Got my cholesterol results today after 3 months eating this way. Overall
cholesterol down from 264 to 230, HDL up from 60 to 83, HDL down from 148 to
129.
