Hi,

I'm not sure what this person is looking for, but it sounds like
"unified messaging".  There are a number of different solutions,
depending on what system they are using and what functionality is
needed.  For example, you can easily forward voice mail messages to
another account on the same voice mail system, where someone can
transcribe it and send it back as email.  There are also 3rd party
services that can do this.
