I have Verizon DSL coming into a Westell modem which in turn is connected to a Microsoft MN-700 wireless base station (router). The problem is that, unless the modem is turned on and allowed to cycle up to a connection before I turn on the MN-700, I cannot connect to the internet through the MN-700. This is a problem because I have all my equipment on the same power strip, so everything comes on at the same time. Is there a way to fix the connectivity issue with the MN-700, or is this common for all routers?

Also...I keep getting the message in the taskbar "Internet connection Established" every so often, which leads me to believe that the router is dropping the connection every once and awhile. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
