I think it was in the attitude when God called them on it.  The "not me.
Why, never." sort of thing.

On your other subject of marriage taking work, and work, and work.  Grin.
We had some friends.  We knew them when they were single.  At first we only
knew her.  They dated a long time before they got married.  Then it looked
so good; so perfect, if you will.  They were married about 10 years.  She
never wanted kids but he did.  But through medical circumstance it was
determined that it was best for her to have a hysterectomy.  The week before
she went in for the surgery she got pregnant.  Never did have the
hysterectomy.  Within 5 years the marriage ended in a horrible divorce.  And
they were separated before I even knew it.  But everybody who knew them,
even people close to them, were quite taken by surprise.  They were both
real quite and soft spoken too.  So it sure can happen.  Gotta watch out for
those quiet ones.
