hi lynn,as far as i know there are only two bios manufacturers-ami&(award/phoenix)each have their own beep code indicators.for ami two beeps mean memory parity error and for award one long two short mean video adapter error.but on the other hand u are getting one long and one short?for what it is worth try reseating the memory stick and hope good luck.or go to the site of your bios manufacturer and see if any joy. have a nice day-venkat viswanathan
