Just a couple of months ago I built my own computer. I got everything I
wanted. Well now my awesome Radeon 9800 XT graphics card is screwing up on my. I
think. I've downloaded all of the latest drivers for my motherboard Asus
A7N8X-E Deluxe with a AMD 3200 and my ATI drivers. Everytime I try to play a
game my screen flickers and is garbled. I'm starting to think that my graphics
card is a dud. Please someone Help!!!
Hi,
Make sure you have the correct 'drivers' (.INF file) loaded for the monitor
you are using, so that the video card knows what resolutions and refresh
rates it is capable of. Without that, it may be switching to a resolution or
refresh rate that the monitor does not support, and the result is garbled video.
Hope this helps,
