It is my understanding that a dual boot is feasible, but I have elected not
to go that route (called it a lack of faith). Instead, I created a Linux
boot disk and insert it into the floppy drive (from a cold boot) anytime I
wish to work with Linux. This way, the two OS exist on the same box without
having any interaction or conflicts. The only disadvantage is using and
maintaining the boot floppy. The multi-boot option would involve the
Windows MFT, NTLdr, and the boot.ini - for that reason, I elected to leave
Windows out of the equation when it comes to booting Linux.

Personally, I keep Linux on a 13 GB Slave (your 20 GB will work fine). I
only use it from an educational standpoint. Currently, I'm still trying to
keep up with all the changes in Microsoft (so, I haven't been doing much
Linux work lately). Previewed "LongHorn" recently - that's a RAM hungry OS.

Good Luck with whatever you decide...John
