Well Pat,
I realize that in the real world you don't want patches to be noticed,
but in this case, we're willing to give some slack.  It is a punishment
after all.  There's no point in frustrating him to the point of wanting
to smash them in again.  I think that he's getting the message.  Besides,
this place may get hauled off and trashed in a few months anyway.  We
aren't sure that we'll be able to sell it, although we'd like to get a
little for it so that we have money to fix up the basement in the new
house, if we ever get that.
