Steph,

Your body, not to mention your emotions, have gone through one tremendous
change chemically and every other way.  Sandy lost her voice when our first
son was born and it was so bad, I had to get on the phone when her mother
called because her mother was hard of hearing in the first place.   It took
awhile before her voice returned to normal, too.  Spiritual shifts are not
uncommon either under these conditions.  Like I said, a lot has happened and
you have experience something you have never experienced before.  It sounds
like all is well, though, but after birth changes are not all that uncommon.
I am glad that you have time you can reply to messages on the list.  Your
whole life has moved into a new area of living but reconnecting is a good
thing.  You are different now, for the good, and that will never change to
the way it once was but as I said, that is a good thing.  Just ask the other
moms on the list about the changes they experienced and you'll find out how
normal it all is.
