Matt,
I hda the same problem with Msn Messenger.  It had put a cookie on my
computer that took me to a search page each time i logged onto the internet
instead of my home page.
You should go to your cookies and find it and delete it.  That will take
care of it.
In Windows 2000, cookies are found on the "local Drive" under documents and
settings".
