The problem is that it's not like the days of John Boy Walton when you just
sent a story off to a magazine and they sent you a check.  Nowadays it's a
Catch-22, you need an agent, who gets a percentage, but you can't get an
agent until you get published, but you can't get published until you have an
agent.  Growl.  Just like getting your first job.  You can't get a job
without experience but you can't get experience without a job.  And round
and round she goes.
