Since this verse came up recently on echurch, I have been thinking about it.
Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy
seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise
his heel.
Have you ever noticed how it uses the word seed in reference to the devil?
The Hebrew word for seed in both cases, that is, in reference to Satan and
to Eve, are the same word. Of course, it basically means offspring. We
know Eve had no children at this time so she was going to have offspring but
what about the word seed in reference to the devil? Is that talking about
his offspring, too, and if so, who are his offspring? Got any commentaries
that comment on this? I have some ideas but just curious if any has heard
some teaching on this anywhere.
Phil.
