Kathi [our daughter] is a preschool teacher.  A little girl in her class and
the child's mother died  when their house caught early morning last
Thursday.   The 7 year old son and the mom escaped but the mom went back in
to try to find her 4 year old daughter.  They were found together in the
garage.  Apparently the upper floor had collapsed.

The pastor of the church where the mom and children attended, and where the
pre- school is located,  came to tell Kathi what had happened.  Later the
father came [parents divorced] talked to him about an hour.   A counselor
came Friday to talk to the children in the class and afterwards to the
teachers.   The school sent a letter and counseling materials home with the
children.  Kathi is really taking it hard.  The memorial service was last
night.  They were awaiting  the woman's father who lives Ireland.

Children in the class have many questions.  One little boy said he was
building a big Lego tower so Sarah could see it when she comes back.
