Hi Steve,
Would you believe, my elmer is an O&M instructor?! Yep...the guy who
got me into ham radio 16 years ago is (and was then, for that matter)
an O&M instructor...wasn't mine, though. I forget how I got him to
help me with ham radio, but I remembered he was a ham when I got
interested. Met him a few years before I got interested, when I first
moved to Austin, TX as a 10-year-old kid. He mentioned ham radio in
sort of an offhand way then, when he made an autopatch to my mother,
and years later I remembered that and somehow got him to help me get
my license, too! Anyway, not only is he an O&M instrcutor, he's also a
Steve. Go figure. (BTW, his call is KW5V.) Anyway, welcome to the
list, and we hope you get some of your students interested in ham
radio :)
