Hello List:

Well its a pretty sloppy day here on the rock this morning.
After a 25CM snow fall over night and which changed to heavy rain around don, driving conditions are pretty bad to say the least.
The temperature is going to drop below freezing this afternoon so again what snow has softened up will turn to ice!
Anyway on to my main reason for posting:

I'm in search of a high performing 80M/40M wire antenna with 160M if possible. .
I have a 40 foot long 80M/10M sloper which performs well on 80M but not on 40 or 30.
It's strongest gains however, are on 20/10, which is why I'll keep it as a 17/12M wark bander and a backup should I loose my tri bander, Cushcraft A-3S.

I have a Delhi MD-48 cut off to a hight of 43, situated on a 17 foot high or so hill behind my house.
The platteau of this hill is about 20 feet or so wide, with no trees around the tower for securing a large 80M/40M dipole or inverted V.
I had to clear what trees were there to create an area to put together my tri bander on the ground,
as well to make room for scaffolding to lean my tower on in order to mount it.
This gives me an overall hight of 50 feet to work with and across the yard from the tower, at a distance of about 135 feet or so, there are some excellent trees for securing.
To achieve what I'm looking for, would I be better off putting up a long wire or make up a full wave 80M dipole feeding it at my tower end which is closest to my shack?
Does anyone know of a good site which has an antenna calculator?

Thanks all & 73:
