Chris and others,

I just now heard from my sister.  She is the little girl's grandmother.  My
sister just said that they found a single piece of rice in each lung and
were able to remove them.  She is fine but in this third world country, they
have a polacy of not letting even the parents in to see her as she is
recovering so she is crying for her mother.  They think, after staying in
the hospital all night, she will be able to come home tomorrow.  So
apparently, from what they know right now, she is going to be fine.
