Phil, & Matt,
It is ambiguous as to the meaning of Leah having weak eyes, but I've
always assumed that it had to have referred to her looks, at least
partially, since it contrasts Leah to Rachel and describes Rachel  as
"beautiful."  Of course, weak eyes could have meant much more than
physical appearance, but I do believe that that was part of it at least.
