Back in 1995, while attending a blindness training facility in the Twin
Cities called Blind Inc. Standing for Blindness Learning in New Dimensions,
I was informally asked to take on the industrial arts shop element of the
organization. I gracefully denied but gave the, then director, information
on equipment and etc. The director has since retired and a new director is
in place, they are restaffing coming out of a lull time for various
reasons. A friend of mine, who attended the facility the same time and was
my apartment mate for a bit, has been treasurer for some time now and
knows I was at one time interested in that position, but I said no for
reasons of getting into vending. They now are again looking for such a
person, and my friend shoved my name at them lol, and he called me letting
me know a heads up on a likely call regarding my interest. He told them
there would have to be viable pay for it, and I am running a business so
perhaps would only have a day or two a week to dedicate to it. It is kind
of funny cause a couple months back I again thought of that position, and
in fact hopped on their website to see if they were running it yet. Anyway,
I'll be praying about any interest I ought have in it, and how it might
possibly meld with my current schedule, and if it is of God's will to
consider it. In a way it would be nice to make a difference in people's
lives by helping them, yet I do not wish to be sidetracked from anything
else God might have me do in the future. So if you think of it, send up a
prayer to Father to tell one of his sons what to do when the call comes
hhehehehe.
