Is Kikkoman safe for celiacs? I seriously doubt it.
I contacted the company a week ago, but have not heard from them.
All the people on the Celiac list who responded to my post said that they would not take a chance on ingesting a product which clearly says an ingredient is "wheat".
Of course there are soy and tamari sauces such as La Choy which contain no wheat and are good alternatives.
Until I hear otherwise (and in an extremely convincing way) I will be avoiding the conventional soy sauce found in Asian restaurants.
I guess the Kikkoman story was "too good to be true".....
