I got this off a website from an eye doctor, in his article regarding migraines, particularly optical migraines. I've know we're supposed to watch out for hydrolyzed vegetable protein, but I never saw this description put this way. I'm thinking of the gluten connection. Unfortunately, I closed the site by accident when I went back to email the list and don't have the address. What do you think of this statement from the site? Any nutritionists out there who can comment? I always thought MSG was just monosodium glutamate. I think this eye doctor's statement, taken verbatim, is wrong. Lin
If you are a migraine sufferer who is sensitive to MSG, it is very important to read labels on your food products. MSG goes under various names such as: hydrolyzed vegetable or plant protein, sodium casseinate, yeast extract, autolyzed yeast, or "natural flavorings".
