Terry,
In the properties setting for the printer, try setting "Start printing
after last page is spooled"  In W2K it's on the "Advanced" tab but I don't
have any experience with XP so I'm not sure where it's located. I've had
some strange things happen with bi-directional printers on a network and
many time this setting seems to fix it.
