If two video boards in a row go bad - I would look at the monitor to see if
it may be causing damage to the boards. As for the Internet problem, I think
more information as to what works and what doesn't is needed. For example,
can you ping some Internet external site? What information does ipconfig
/all display?

Hi. I have been working with an older computer that had a bad video adapter:
it only displayed 16 colors and some of the programs wouldn't launch. I
replaced the video card with another one from an extra machine I had laying
around. It worked fine. I moved the tower to the lady's house and now it's
back in 16 color mode. I had it set to 16 bit mode when it was here at my
house. Is it her monitor? Or is the card bad too? It was an old one. Also,
she says she can dial up the internet connection, the computer connects, but
the home page won't display no matter which browser she tries to use.
