Hi Fred,
I don't know for sure but here's my first shot at your problems. On the
TH-F6A, make sure you haven't checked the box for ctcss squelch. If this is
the case, you won't hear the repeaters unless they retransmit the correct
tone. I think the radio defaults at 88.5 and I haven't run into many
repeaters which require this tone. These can be confusing at first in that
software but just make sure you only check the first box which is the
transmit tone.
On the TS-2000 you have to type 5.0 I think for the offset. I'd have to
look at mine again here but I think you will have to use 5.0 rather than
5000. Perhaps someone else on list could confirm this. You only need to
use the one VFO and just program in the correct offset.
I hope that is helpful to you. Good luck and very 73.
Kevin :)

Subject: kenwood questions?
Hi all,
I have recently encountered a problem with my kenwood radios, and ironicly,
it's the same problem.
When I use the software for the th-f6a and program in a symplex frequency,
it doesn't hear on the simplex frequency but does transmit on it. What am I
doing wrong?
On a second kenwood radio, my ts-2000 I have tried programing in 440 mhz
repeaters and am unable to transmit in to the repeater input, do I need to
type in 5,000 or just 5000 for the off-set when using the software, and a
second question question about programing from the front of the 2000, do I
switch VFO's to program in the input frequency?
Thanks in advance.
