    Hi All,

I know we've beaten this one to death but I have a little bit of a twist on
the question I am about to ask. I am a member of Navy MARS and here in the
Puget Sound region we have a repeater that operates totally in the 149 mHz
region with the transmit at the high end. Thus, even the Radio Shack rigs
which can be expanded to 149.500 won't reach our repeater's input frequency.

I need to find a simple, 2 meter rig which is both accessible to me as a
totally blind operator and modifiable for these frequencies. I also want to
do this on the cheap. Does anyone on the list have any recommendations for
me? I have a few rigs in mind specifically the Kenwood TM-241 and TM-2550
and the Icom IC-229. Anyone talk about any of these?

Thanks much and very 73.
Kevin :)
