Don,

When you enter the menus, as you turn the multi-channel knob, you'll hear a
beep.  The beep is menu 1.  Each menu will also beep, the beep being the
default setting for that particular menu.

For example, if you go into menu mode and are on the default menu 1, turn the
knob clockwise 8 clicks to menu 9.  Right arrow.  The default is speaker-mike.
Up arrow once and you are on TNC.  Up arrow again to PC interface.  Up arrow
again andyou are back on the default.

When you enter menu mode again, you enter on the menu you were last at, so a
good reference is going back to the beep for menu 1.

Ok, folks.  Here are the THF-6A menus:

Menu #:  Default;  Options.
Menu 1: Scan Resume: Time; up arrow changes to Carrier, then to Seek, back to
Time.

Menu #2:  Mem Group: free 0-7 link.

Menu #3:  MR Method--all bands; right arrow current band, then back to
default.

Menu #4: In Band A, programmable VFO range limits:  Defaults:  vary depending
on which band you are on.  440MHZ 410-469; 144MHZ 137-173; and for 222MHZ it
is
216-259MHz.
To Change, for example:  on 440 right-arrow highlights 410 and up-arrow will
increase this by 1 meg for each up arrow press; if you down arrow from the
410MHz you go to 469.  If you right arrow again from the 410MHz spot, you
highlight the upper limit of 469MHz and down arrowing will lower that limit.

Menu #5:  Auto Offset: On; right arrow up arrow to turn it off, default is ON.

Menu #6:  Offset: 0.00MHz; right arrow then 0,.00 blinks; up arrow increases
the offset by 50KHz increments all the way up to a max of 59.95MHz.

Menu #7:  Tune Enable: Off; up arrow ON.

Menu #8:  TX Inhibit:  Off; On.

MENU #9:  Connector Status:  Speaker/Mike; right arrow it blinks; up arrow
TNC;
up arrow again to PC; up arrow again to Speaker/Mike default.

Menu #10:  DTMF Store: right arrow and 0 blinks; up arrow 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
back to 0.

Menu #11:  DTMF Speed: Fast; right arrow it blinks; up arrow Slow; up arrow
again back to Fast.

Menu #12:  DTMF Hold:  Off; right arrow blinks, up to turn ON, up again to
default off.

Menu #13:  DTMF Pause: 500ms; right arrow, then up arrow to 750ms, 1000Ms,
1500Ms, 2000Ms, back to 100Ms; 250Ms; then back to default of 500Ms.

Menu #14:  DTMf Lock:  Off; On.

Menu #15:  Power on Message:  Hello.  Can be programmed using the wheel to
select letters.

Menu #16:  Display Contrast.

Menu #17:  Battery Saver 1.0 second: right arrow then up arrow to 2.0, 3.0,
4.0, Off, then 0.2 then 0.4 then 0.6 then 0.8; the low tone is off.

Menu #18:  APO: 30 minutes; right arrow then up to 60 minutes, then to Off;
default is 30 minutes.

Menu #19: Key Beep: On; right arrow up is off; off indicated by low tone.

Menu #20:  Vox on busy off; right arrow then up to turn it on; then up again
for Off.

Menu #21: Vox Gain: 4; right arrow then up in 1 unit increments to 9; then
cycles to zero which is the low tone, then 1, 2, 3, and back to 4.

Menu #22:  Vox Delay: 500MS; right arrow then up for 750MS, then 1000MS,
1500MS; 2000MS; 3000MS; low tone 250MS; then back to 500MS.

Menu #23:  Call Key:  Call; right arrow and up for 1750Hz, then up again to go
back to Call.

Menu #24:  1750 Hold:  Off; right arrow and up for On, up again for low tone
of
Off.

Menu #25:  Beat:  Off; right arrow then up for On, default low-tone is Off.

Menu #26: Var Antenna:  Enabled; right arrow up disabled, up again low tone
Enabled.

Menu #27:  Language:  English is low tone; right arrow and up for Japanese.

Menu #28:  Packet:  1200BPS; right arrow and up for 9600BPS, low tone default
is 1200BPS.

Menu #29:  FM Narrow:  Off; right arrow and up for On; low tone default is
Off.

Menu #30:  Battery Type:  Lithium; right arrow and up for alkaline; Lithium is
low tone.

Menu #31:  Reset:  No; right arrow up-arrow is VFO reset; then Menu Reset;
then
Full Reset.  Low tone default is No reset.
