I'll be honest here, I haven't read this thread through totally but I just
made some changes to my programming and uploaded the new data with no
problem at all once I did everything right. This suggestion may have been
made but I'll throw it out there anyway. Make sure menu 9 is set to PC. I
thought the order went from speaker/mic to pc to tnc moving clockwise with
the dial on the top of the radio. But, when this didn't work I asked my XYL
for help and found that the default of speaker/mic with the default beep is,
if you will, in the center. Thus, clockwise once goes to tnc and
counterclockwise once goes to PC. Once I did this, no problem at all.
Good luck and sorry if I reinvented the wheel. Very 73.
Kevin :)

I know the volume control makes no difference. Long as the menu item is set
right for that, PC and not speaker mic, it will work.
