Pyrate-

The Madras fault was avery unfortunate fashion era during the early 1960's which originated with frat boys in the South. It was characterised by oddly colored/patterned short sleeved shirts and shorts. The bizarre colored patterns on the clothing articles vanished after several washings, or soakings with beer. Very strange. The phase seemed to disappear with the influx of bell bottom pants from the north.

Be careful.
