Greetings Sharon and list--

At the risk of stating the obvious, if there
is a jumper (small, plastic-over conductor square
over two pins) to enable the on-board video, did
you remove it? or, if a jumper is required to make
a connection in order to DISable on-board video,
did you put one in (on)?

Some HP Pavillion motherboards have the pin location,
but no pins, and, on these, just putting in a PCI or
AGP (if built for it) video card is sufficient to
"take over the video duties" from on-board video. If the
pins are there, however, you will need to proceed as above.
