I don't think there's any comparison here. What's natural about feeding
a whole lot of flaxseed along with the corn and soy? My chickens get
meat, fish, bugs, worms, and all sorts of seeds and whole plants. I do
agree, however, that the best way to convert Omega precursors, such as
found in flax, to a form usable by us and other creatures of a
carnivorous bent, is to run them through a prey animal first.
