Do you have another administrator or power user account on the system that
you can log into? If so change the password using the second account.

Is this computer part of a domain? Or is this a standalone workstation.

Subject: [PCBUILD] windows xp password forgotten!!!!

A friend has somehow changed their password during windows xp log on. after
repaeted attempts to log in , changing from caps to lower case we were
unsucessful in getting thru, is there away to by pass this to reset or do i
have to reinstall windows xp?
