Please read more carefully, this study has nothing to do with cooking.

This research happens to be on a cell surface marker that some mammals exhibit.

At this point the research doesn't conclude anything so it is essentially meaningless.

This study is so preliminary it looks as though it is basically a study to get more money. i.e. grants

The authors cautioned that a causal relationship between Neu5Gc expression in human tissues with any human disease would be premature and scientifically speculative at best. Instead, they said their findings point to the need for population-level analyses of the presence of Neu5Gc in human tissues in relationship to disease incidence, and the mechanisms of human incorporation and antibody response against this sugar.

Hey we found something that could, or maybe do this.  NIH please give us alot of money to follow up.
