Hi,
I learned the answer to my question about T a l k s and T a l x.
The T a l k s software is from a Company called ScanSoft. They make lots of
text-to-speech and voice recognition products. The T a l k s software will
only work with one model of cell phone, the one described in Cingular's
press release.
The T a l x software is from a company called Code Factory. This company
designs software to make cell phones accessible to the blind. The T a l x
software works with several cell phones which use the "Symbian Operating
System." I belong to several email lists for the blind, and I have heard
that some of the people on these lists are currently using the T a l x
software in their cell phones.
I don't know the URL for ScanSoft, but the URL for Code Factory is
www.mobileaccessibility.com
I just thought I'd better mention what I have learned so people won't get
mixed up like I did.
