Lynx can run as a console application in a DOS box of Windows 95 and up. A
different version can run under plain DOS, and other versions exist for
Linux, Mac OS/X and other operating systems. I can sorta use it in
Window-Eyes in Windows 2000 or XP Command Prompt mode, but it works better
if you run a DOS screen reader in those environments, because you can really
customize your use of the title line, status line and the highlighting. It
does not do JavaScript, and many versions don't do SSL, although SSL is
handled by some newer builds. The Shellworld internet service provider
still runs Lynx.
