you have a female serial port on your computer? I don't think so, should
be a male serial port, probably a 9 pin if it's not the right one for the
programming cable in which case you'd need a 9 pin female to 25 pin male
serial adapter. that female port you talk about on your computer is a
perellel port more then likely unless there's something out there I don't
know about but I seriously doubt that 25 pin female port on the computer is
a serial port.
