Dear Somebody!
I do not indend to comment the article but just want to say I only today discovered interlingua and to my surprise I found that I can understand 98% percent of the texts without any preparation. This is undoubtedly because I know English and Spanish quite well and also have rudiments of Latin.
What struck me however is why is interlingua so similar to Spanish? Isn't it unjust? I think every spaniard can easily understand interlingua but I wouldn't be so sure about speakers of germanic or slavic languages.
Best of luck!
Adam
