Hi there,

I have been reading up recently on, everything and anything that would help
my 5 year old daughter. Since birth, I have been back and forth to the
pediatrician, family doctor, EMERG etc...for a number of reasons.

My daughter appeared to have an extreme case of colic. Crying non-stop,
gas, bloating etc.

This didnt seem to grab a single doctors attention. Then she went through
her time of vomiting, everytime she ate. I consulted a doctor about the
possibility of lactose intolerance, without a confirmation.

During her second year she began getting, what seemed to be severe rashes
(in what was no longer a diaper area) along with recurrent yeast infections.

Still no response from the medical professionals.

Feeling quite frustrated
, after yet another year of an irritible, cranky,
constipated, bloated, severely rashed, yeast/uriniary tract infected child
I chose to take her to a naturopath.

We explored many different avenues, coming up with a Wheat/Gluten, Sugar,
Dairy free diet. This lasted approximatly a year, when the both of us,
became very frustrated-thinking that we came out no differently than we
began-Still extremely rashed.

I took my daughter in for weekly urine testing, treating her with creams,
antibiotics, laxatives...but for whatever reason, was not successful in
demanding an IgA test. It always appeared to be unreasonable request, when
I have asked for the testing.

I am not really clear as to  what an IgA test will show, but it was a
recommendation from the naturopath doctor and if it helps, I would love to
know.

Many of the symptoms of CD, fits the picture of my little ones d
ay to day,
and a friend of mine suggested looking into it.

After reading up on CD I, yet again, took my daughter into a newer Family
Doctor today and pretty well begged for testing. She refused. She stated
that CD causes severe diarhea and weight loss, not bloating and
constipation. I have requested a referral to a specialist, which was also
denied. I am soooo frustrated.

I guess what I am looking for is some support, from others that have been
there-not knowing. Perhaps even some input as to whether I am looking in
the wrong direction and/or similar symptoms of others with with CD.

This has been a difficult start for a little girl, with no results.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Any feedback would be appreciated. If I felt confident, with the
information I had about CD, I may be able to push a little harder, but as
it stands this
is very new information and I dont.
