john, I know what others use it for, but i have no need for it myself and
like you, it would be just something else to take up room. Besides, in my
case the ten tec tuning dial does not have a button to trigger the speech
synth so you could change frequency but wouldn't know where you were anyway
so definitely limiting for me, hahaha. now if it had speech synth button on
it maybe. Dave
