Have you tried directing the install to c:\windows\options\cabs for the files? Some manufacturers load the OS from the harddrive and that is where the files are for the operating system.

One other last ditch effort is pointing the install to c:\windows or c:\windows\system to see if the files are already installed. That is for each file that comes up.

Hi,

I'm trying to install an Airlink wireless network adapter for my father's
computer (Pentium II, Win98se). The problem is that he bought the laptop
used and he doesn't have the Win98se CD. The installation procedure
requires it and I don't have it. I've tried contacting the company, but
haven't received a response yet.

Any suggestions on how to get those files I need (about 30 of them)?

Thanks,
Steve
