I have already rebooted and reset defaults on the router as
well as the cable modem, and also tried connecting directly
to the cable modem, bypassing the router completely. I am
able to ping the pc via 127.0.0.1 (loopback?), and with the
router connected can ping other pc's hooked up to the router
as well as from another pc to the problem pc. Without the
router, there is no firewall issue, the cable modem does not
have firewall nor does the pc.
