Strictly as anecdotal evidence, I have in the past had occasional
problems with acid reflux, which seem to disappear with low carb or
paleo diet, and reappear when I "fall off the wagon".

Since my father suffered from acid reflux and developed esophageal
cancer (which IIRC has been linked to acid reflux), I would be very
interested in hearing about any clinical evidence that bears out my
experience.
