> lye
Now, ther's a new word for me. When I looked it up I found that it means
"lut", as in "lutfisk" meaning lye fish which we eat for Christmas/yule.
This fish is extremely dried, like a piece of brown leather and two weeks
prior to eating it you put it in lye and water to soak the water into the
fish again.
Some people love it and others (like Strindberg) hate it. It has a somewhat
gluey texture - a taste to get used to, if you se what I mean!?
