I'll second that on FNPs, Kendall. Every one I've ever seen has been
super-compassionate and professional.

My first experience with a nurse-practitioner was while on vacation in
Dubois, Wy. (just up the road from you. LOL). I fell on a graphite fly rod
and buried fibers in my upper arm. It was the best suturing job I've ever
had (and lots of us CP "walkers" have had oodles of experience getting
stitched up <g>). As far as I know, Dubois still only has a
nurse-practitioner for the full-time clinic. They might have a visiting
physician from Jackson Hole one a month. I seem to remember that's they way
the clinic's set up now.

Bobby,

It could be worse, it could be raining! That's what my brother always
said to me when I'd get down about things. Hopefully, the air
conditioner will be an easy fix when the landlord gets back, and you'll
get lucky like I did when my last doc moved.

I started seeing the nurse practitioner (it's a large group practice),
and she's better than a lot of MD's I've seen. I had a choice between
seeing her for primary care, or a guy who'd just finished residency. An
experienced FNP is worth two doc's right out of training.

Hey gang,

I need some cheering up. The airconditing in my daughter's house
went
kaput. Their landlord is out of town, so we have five extra people here
(the
son-in-law stays at their house). We don't know how long they will be
here. I
have allegergies so bad it keeps me up at night. I went to my doc to get
an
allergy med and he says he's going out of business! I am just got the
blaws right
now.

Bobby
