Hi. Thanks for your help! I checked the NIC and it is not set to power down. The cables have been swapped for new CAT5s. Setting the router to static IP did not change the dropping after a couple hours.
I have started some services in XP to see if maybe I have something disabled or stopped that needs to be running. I've written them down to keep track in case one of these work. I do not understand the descriptions of some of these services.
Any other suggestions would be very appreciated.
