They have several external and internal modems suitable for a 486 class pc
in stock. None of them are cheap, I'm afraid. This one is an internal PCI
for $65. The site provides useful spec sheets on each modem, and there is a
large selection.
I used this site once, over 3 years ago and had no problems, which I know is
not an endorsement.

Hi!! I am upgrading a 486DX strictly for email use and since it doesn't have
a modem I was wondering what modem the list would suggest for this antique.
Specs: 486DX upgraded with an evergreen processor. 24 megs ram. 2 gig
harddrive, PCI chipset. Win98 opsys. Need any more info? Just ask! Thanks in
advance, Vern.
