Me too. High protein diets is probably the worst thing you can do to
yourself.
As far as amount of protein eaten I found that for me it's not the total
amount in grams but rather the relation or protein eaten to fat and carbs.
On a mixed diet I was also eating lots of protein with lots of carbs and
moderate to high fat and I was able to stay fit. But as a teenager I was
following my own version of intermitting fasting (no breakfast, usually no
lunch and big dinner and some late night snacks) so maybe it gave me some
metabolic advantage later on ;)
