Well, here is a question that I hope may get some feedback. I am trying to
figure out the next step in regard to my daughter, who at almost 23, has up to
this point, seemed to have all symptoms pointing toward celiac disease. Early
on, blood tests as well as the stool test both showed a strong case for CD.
These tests were also followed up by additional blood tests showing chronic
anemia--very much of a concern for that as she has infrequent dizziness and a
general lack of energy. Just this last week, she had an ultrasound of the gall
bladder as well as some more bloodwork. Two days later she had an endoscopy to
check for celiac as well as anything else that might show up. The initial
tests
show no indication of anemia, the gall bladder looked fine, and it showed a
small hiatial hernia, but not yet sure of celiac. The doctor, a gastro
specialist, told her that she could continue with a normal diet. Well,
seems that when
she tried that, the symptoms she was having before came back---no real
surprise
here, so now she is following the gf diet as much as she can. Whenever she
eats, the food just seems to "settle" (as she describes it) and often she will
experience a "heaviness" in her chest. There is a follow-up visit scheduled in
a week or so but I hate to see this put off longer than it already has been.
She also has been having very itchy skin around her neck, back, and in the
anal area. So....this is a lot and if anyone can offer any ideas, thoughts,
etc-it would be appreciated. Thanks and I can summarize if any of you feel
it would
be helpful to you or other family members, as well.

 Sincerely,

       Ginny
