of Congress. As Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee
on Health, he will determine whether a food labeling bill moves
forward in the legislative process.
It is critically important that Chairman Bilirakis hear from as many
celiacs as possible in the Tampa area. Call or visit the Congressman's
local office (see below). Share a copy of the Celiac Disease Fact Sheet
(available at: www.celiaccenter.org/taskforcefactsheet.pdf . Then,
tell Chairman Bilirakis to cosponsor, H.R. 3684, the Food Allergen
Labeling and Consumer Protection Act, and to move it out of the
subcommittee ASAP. Legislators represent YOU, and need to know your
concerns.
